The present paper is to introduce the existing different copies of Mulbo and examine the sequence among different copies (異本). There are three different copies of Mulbo whose collection site have been confirmed: the Hanyang University edition, the National Library of Korea edition, and the Korean Language Society (Hangeul Hakhoe) edition. The format of the Hanyang University edition is not unified and contains some errors. In the National Library of Korea edition, the format was unified and all errors were corrected. The Korean Language Society edition has the most errors, and there is an example in which the errors of the Hanyang University edition are transcribed as they are. As a result of comparative review with the arrangement order of items, the composition of significant items, the order of presentation of synonyms, the writing glottalization of ㅅ, and the addition of the Korean name appearing in these different copies, it was confirmed that the Hanyang University edition was the original version of the National Library of Korea edition and the Korean Language Society edition. The Hanyang University edition is an unfinished version that does not have a unified editorial system. The National Library of Korea edition is the completed version that corrects the errors and adds items of the Hanyang University edition while maintaining unity in the unfinished system. The Korean Language Society edition faithfully follows the Hanyang University edition, but it is an incomplete version in terms of content because it did not include 300 items after ‘輿○ 車上載物處’. Considering the correction of errors and the addition of Korean names, the sequence among the different copies of Mulbo was estimated as ‘Hanyang University Edition > National Library of Korea Edition’ → ‘Hanyang University Edition > Korean Language Society Edition’.
